Long time since I posted

Hey Everybody! It has been a long time since I posted.

Life in Tucson has been really good. Mom and dad have been packing everything up this week, I think that means we are moving on? I wonder where we are going?

In the meantime, dad's been working on the computer a lot lately, so I had to check out what he was doing:
Looks like a bunch of gibberish to me?!?!?

I will post again when we get to our new location, Snuggy!

My Ode to Christmas

My Aunty Linda said I should post this on my blog. I'd like to take credit for it, but I can only take credit for creative editing. OH...and on Thursday I go to Grandma Dee's!

Snuggy's Night Before Christmas.

'Twas the night before Christmas,
At the Ouellette house,
One creature was stirring,
But it wasn't a mouse.

Rich and Laura were nestled
All snug in their bed
Dreaming of credit bills
And quaking with dread.

Snuggy, the cockatoo,
Has escaped from her cage
And was working herself up
To a fine parrot rage.

Down the stairs Snuggy hopped
And she flew
To see what mischief
A little 'Too could do.

She found the stockings hung
By the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas
Soon would be there.

She was just getting ready
To shred one or two,
When she heard a strange noise.
It was something totally new.

So she hopped to the window
And shredded the shade,
Bit a chunk from the woodwork
And the drapes Laura had made.
When what to her wandering eyes
Should appear
But a miniature sleigh
And eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver
So lively and quick
That anyone but Snuggy
Would have known 'twas St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles
Those reindeer flew.
They were up on the roof
Before Snuggy could chew.

As she was raising her crest
And turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas
Came with a bound.

Wilma opened her beak
And gave a loud scream.
Santa was in big trouble
If you know what I mean.

He took a quick look
At that sharp, gaping beak,
And then eyeing Snuggy,
He let out a shriek.

"You bad bird", he shouted.
"you really scared me!"
"I'll leave no gift in your stocking,
Or under this tree."

"I'm ouuta here now
And won't ever come back!!"
"I simply can't face
Another cockatoo attack!"

So saying he grabbed
His sore, bleeding nose
And without one word,
Up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh,
To his team gave a whistle,
And away they all raced
Like an armed guided missile.

Rich and Snuggy heard Santa shout,
As he raced out of sight,
"There should be a law against loose 'Toos
On Christmas Eve night."

They sprang from their bed
And ran down the stairs
To find Wilma sleeping
In one of Rich's favorite chairs.

Her stocking they stuffed
'Till it was quite full
With soft blocks of wood
And some rope to pull.

And peanuts and oranges,
A juke box, a toy-
All kinds of good things
To give a 'Too joy.

Rich was heard to explain
As he wished Snuggy good night.
"you don't have to be a good bird
Or do things just right,
'Cause your people love you,
Even when you bite."

Bikes and horses

Here in 'Toosun, I've been a busy and athletic 'too. As you can see, I got dad to take me on a nighttime bike ride. Fortunately, the dad realized the importance of me carb loading before my big ride, so that morning we shared a bowl of oatmeal. This isn't your typical, quicky Quaker oats...nooo!!! I'm too much of a diva for that! This is special, steel cut oatmeal that takes half an hour to cook. The whole time dad is cooking them, I'm hanging off his shoulder, watching.

In other news, there's another one of those horse-type thingies that moved in here last night. Apparently some lady is loaning it to the mom. This is NOT a good development because of 'too things:

1) Takes time away from ME!
2) I don't like horses.

A Bike ride with the blinky light

Today the dad got this cool new gadget he calls a "blinky light". He says it's so he can ride his bike home after it's sorta dark. After he got his bike all shined up, he put on his blinky light, grabbed me, and we were off on a ride! I got into my aerodynamic tuck and WHOOSH...we were off! You can see me in position in these 'too pictures.

Just call it the Tour de 'Too!

Have not updated in a while....

....Mom and dad are back to work. I'm SLOWLY getting adjusted to being on my own during the day. They do give me plenty of "jobs" to do while they are busy earning money for more too toys! Plus, I always make sure I get my scooter or bicycle ride daily!

I do get plenty of attention in the morning while they are getting ready for work. Here I am enjoying my morning cereal, I let mom have some too (that's her spoon in there, I don't bother with utensils)!!

Born to be Wiiiild

Now that I'm not "grounded" anymore, life has been a little more interesting. I begged and begged mom to take me on a scooter ride yesterday, but she & the dad had other stuff to do. She promised to take me today. So soon after the parents got home from taking the trash to the dump and grocery shopping, I got to go!!! Dad strapped me into my safety harness and off we went! It was a short ride around the yard, but it was enough to feel the wind blow through my feathers, the bugs in my beakie, and a sense that I was flying! Wheeee!!!

After my brief ride, the dad decided it was time to play his favorite game..."Pose the 'too". So I became a poser for him. Little did I know he was going to pose me on a cactus! I was afraid for my feeties, but luckily, there were no needles, so I was fine. I think I'm rather photogenic, don't you?
